The Nipissing Country Music Association is proud to announce the return of The Northern Ontario Open Country Singing Contest in 2025! Thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteer workers, the committee and country music fans the Contest


is scheduled to begin on:

Preliminaries on Friday August 1st 2025 followed by the Semi-Finals on

Saturday August 2nd 2025

and finishing up with the

FINALS on Sunday August 3rd 2025.


It won't end there however, as we plan to have our usual wrap up party and
entertainment inside the complex with invitations to the public. Everyone is
welcome to perform. More details to follow.


The deadline for entries is June 1st 2025 NO EXCEPTIONS!
For the contestants:
Live Rehearsals with a band will be held for local and surrounding area
contestants on Wednesday, July 30th 2025.
Live rehearsals for contestants from out of town will be held on Thursday,
July 31st 2025. 

 

As always, we will do our best to accommodate the best rehearsal time for you. More details to follow.

​We know that this event will be bigger and better than it has ever been with the return of all its past and new competitors. We are looking forward to seeing all contestants.


We are also very happy to announce that this event will remain a free to attend event for EVERYONE including the general public so, for our competitors we strongly encourage you to invite all your family, friends and supporters.

Just a quick reminder to bring your own seating /chairs as there are none provided at this outdoor event. However, seating will be provided inside the complex where you are invited to cool down with refreshments and snacks.


Our last contest held in 2019 brought us a record breaking audience attendance so, let's do it again for the return in 2025 and make it even bigger!

Throughout this weekend you will not only hear performance's from our upcoming stars, but as well as some great entertainment during intermissions. Programs will be sold separately with proceeds in support of future contests
and include chances at winning great prizes.

Please be aware that there has been changes to the rules. What this means to our contestants is that you will be able to enter 2 classes. For example; you can enter the Duet Class and any other one qualifying Class.


When you enter the Duets remember that each contestant will only pay half of that category's entry fee.

Alternatively, If a contestant does not have access to email transfer a cheque or

* Also remember that if there are not at least three contestants in a class, we reserve the right to combine the male and females or cancel that category.
